Good Morning,
After school was out yesterday the district received a message from the parent of an elementary aged student reporting over hearing a conversation of their child at home that prompted the district to notify the Clallam County Sheriff's department to help us determine if there was a student and staff safety issue.
Working with the Sheriff's department they made contact with the family of concern and determined there was not a threat to the safety of our campus, students and staff. This investigation took a few hours and it was 10:40 PM before law enforcement notified us that they had completed their interviews and determined that it was safe.
We take student and staff safety seriously and appreciate the support of our local law enforcement agency in assisting us last night.
School is open and on time today.
David Bingham, Superintendent
