Student Assistance

Melissa Thetford is the Student Assistance Professional assigned to Crescent Middle and High School, and an employee of Olympic Educational Service District 114. Her office hours are Tuesday - Friday from 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. However, evening hours may be arranged to meet with parents and community groups. Ms. Thetford will be meeting with students individually and in small groups to provide counseling support.  She will provide education and guidance to students who are impacted by substance use, teach refusal skills and assist students in making healthy choices.

Ms. Thetford is available to parents as well.  If you are worried about your student, have concerns about them or their friends and would like to speak to her directly, please call (360) 928-3311 x1033 or email [email protected]  All communication will be confidential.

[1] Funding for the program is through the Federal Substance Abuse and Treatment Block grant and Crescent School District. This project is collaboration with Department of Behavioral Health, Washington Department of Health and the Olympic Educational Service District (OESD). Ms. Thetford is hired by the OESD.
